Paxton Arrested at Sedalia Motel on Drug Charges

Pettis County deputies were dispatched to a 911 call at Budget Inn, 4710 South Limit, on a subject with information regarding someone with a warrant.

According to a report, the reporting party advised he was in one of the motel rooms and observed a male and female with a large amount of crystal substance and the male said he was wanted in Kansas.

As deputies were attempting to make contact with the subjects in the motel room, a male slammed the door. A short time later, the female came to the door. Deputies cleared the room and located the male hiding under a bed. He was identified as Kristopher G. Paxton of Sedalia. He was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with no bond.

Deputies located over 120 grams of a crystal substance inside the room.

Deputies and the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force will be submitting charges of 1st degree trafficking of a controlled substance against Paxton. The female was identified as Jessica Pruitt.
