Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2011 Ford Fiesta was stopped on the shoulder of US 50, just west of the Business US 50 Junction around 10:30 a.m., when an eastbound 2018 Buick Enclave, driven by 18-year-old Andrew M. Anderson of Holden, traveled off the road, striking the Ford.

The Buick returned to the road and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels.

Anderson and the driver of the Ford, 39-year-old Aaron W. Reedy of Lone Jack, suffered moderate injuries and both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
