Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday evening in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2020 Nissan, driven by 27-year-old Taylor M. Mankin of Sedalia, was at Highway 50 and Pleasant Green in La Monte around 6 p.m., when he entered the highway and was struck in the rear by an eastbound 2011 Lincoln, driven by 22-year-old Shelbi E. Miller of Concordia.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Mankin was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Nissan had moderate damage, while the Lincoln had extensive damage. Both were towed from the scene.
