Two Injured in Rear-End JoCo Collision

Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a rear-end collision that occurred in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound Dodge Ram, driven by 32-year-old Andrew W. Rozier of Sedalia, was on Highway 50, west of Powell Gardens at 6:09 a.m., when it struck the rear of a westbound Sterling truck (trash truck), driven by 57-year-old Jeffery N. Brogan of Independence.

Both drivers were seriously injured and transported to Research Medical Center for treatment. Both were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The trash truck had moderate damage, while the Dodge Ram was totaled and towed from the scene.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
