Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrols that a southbound 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by 33-year-old Matthew G. Halvorson of Knob Noster, was at SE Highway PP and Highway 13 at 6:26 p.m., when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2017 Toyota Rav 4, driven by 53-year-old Gaybriel M. Prince of Clinton. The Toyota overturned and traveled off the roadway. The Nissan also traveled off the roadway. Debris from the impact struck a northbound 2020 Chevy Equinox, driven by 44-year-old Jill D. Anderson of Clinton.

Prince and her passenger, 47-year-old Darpino F. Poli of Knob Noster, suffered minor injuries, and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The Chevy had minor damage, the Nissan had moderate damage, and the Toyota was totaled.

Halvorson, originally from Cloquet, Minnesota, was arrested by the Patrol at 7:07 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving. He was taken to the Warrensburg Police Department, where he was booked and released.
