Two people were injured after their motorcycle struck a deer Tuesday night in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2004 Harley Davidson, driven by 50-year-old Robert L. Edde of Marshall, was on Route H, west of Norway Avenue at 8:15 p.m., when he struck a deer in the roadway and the motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway, ejecting him and his passenger, 48-year-old Jennifer L. Edde of Malta Bend.

Robert suffered moderate injuries, while Jennifer suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by Saline County EMS to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

The Harley had extensive damage.

Saline County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
