Two Marshall men were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2014 Chrysler 300, driven by 24-year-old Trevor I. Ownby of Marshall, was on Hidden Lane, south of Mount Olive Road around 5:30 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and began rolling. The Chrysler came to rest on its wheels facing west.

Ownby suffered moderate injuries, while his passenger, 21-year-old Brandon A. Hudson, also of Marshall, suffered minor injuries. Both were transported by Saline County EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment. Neither were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Ownby was later arrested by the Patrol and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated and 2nd degree assault.
