Moniteau County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people on drug trafficking charges Tuesday after reportedly finding 325 grams of meth.

According to a press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department, deputies received information about a suspicious vehicle parked in a field just east of Tipton.

While on the way to the vehicle, deputies received information the vehicle was then heading towards Tipton.

Tipton Police were then notified to look for the suspect vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle was located parking at an apartment complex.

Authorities reportedly made contact with three people inside the vehicle, and called for a K-9 Unit.

According to the press release, K-9 Mizzou responded and gave a positive alert to the presence of drugs. The vehicle was then searched and approximately 325 grams of methamphetamine was reportedly discovered. The total street value of the meth was placed at $30,000.

The three subjects in the vehicle were then arrested and taken to the Moniteau County Jail.

Authorities say two of the suspects have been charged with 1st Degree Drug Trafficking.

- 20-year old Kyra L. Hankey, of Tipton

- 26-year old William A.L. Crabtree, of Russellville 

Hankey and Crabtree were both given bonds in the amount of $250,000.

No other information was available about the third subject.
