Two women were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Friday morning in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2009 Audio, driven by 24-year-old Shyann S. Cole of Warrensburg, was on US 50, 1220 feet west of County Road 601, at 1:26 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest in the median.

Cole and her passenger, 19-year-old Madison M. Sparks of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries. Cole was flown to Research Hospital, while Sparks was transported to Research Hospital by JCAD.

Neither were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Audi was totaled and towed by Tip Top Towing.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
