The University of Central Missouri Jennies Basketball Team beat Belmont Abbey 65 - 42 to move on in the NCAA 2021 Division II Women's Basketball Tournament in Columbus last night, March 23.

According to NCAA.com the Jennies dominated the first half and shot 53% from beyond the arc, while Belmont Abbey was 1 for 10 from three point range. Belmont Abbey turned the ball over to the Jennies 18 times, with 11 of the turnovers coming in the second half.

Leading the Jennies in scoring was forward Brooke Littrell with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while guard Olivia Nelson scored 17 points and 6 assists.  The Jennies averaged 43.9% from the field and 39% from behind the arc.

The fifth seeded Jennies will play first seed Lubbock Christian, who went undefeated in the regular season, in a final four match up tonight, March 24, at 7:45 PM CDT. According to the UCM Athletics site the game will be televised by CBS Sports Network available on both Spectrum, Direct TV and Dish Network.

Viewing parties for last night's game were held at the UCM Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Fitters' Pub and Heroes Restaurant and Pub. These places will again be hosting viewing parties tonight. Additionally, viewing parties will be held at Traditions, Players and Checker Tavern in Warrensburg. And Johnny's Tavern in Lee's Summit.
