United Way of Pettis County Wants to Help ‘Warm Up’ Those in Need

There are members in our local community who are looking for hats, gloves and coats in all sizes for their families.

United Way of Pettis County is now collecting new and gently-used winter hats, gloves & coats to distribute to those in need.

Drop off your items at 1400 South Limit, Suite 29, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 to 5 p.m. by Nov. 30 (please note that the office closes for lunch from 12:30 to 1:30).

On a related note, The warming shelter, located at St. Patrick's Church, 415 E. 4th Street in Sedalia, will open at 7 p.m,. this evening. In fact the shelter has been open since Wednesday night. Also, the Community Cafe will be serving from 4:40 to 5:30 today. Patrons can sit inside to stay warm during serving time.

The warming shelter will also be open Saturday night.
