A Urich man died as a result of his injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred Friday night in Bates County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2004 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail, driven by 58-year-old Ronald L. Nash of Urich, was on Route MM at NE County Road 14243 around 6:45 p.m., when the Harley traveled off the right side of the roadway, became airborne and traveled over the county road. The motorcycle then struck the ground east of the roadway, overturned and the driver was ejected.

Nash was flown by Lifeflight Eagle to Research Hospital in Kansas City, where he was later pronounced dead at 4:46 a.m. Saturday by Dr. Mahmoud Ahmad.
