Well, I admit that one of my favorite Christmas movies is Home Alone.  I remember seeing it in the theaters back when the old theater was still open, the one behind the K-Mart?

Yeah, my Dad and I went to see it together, and we had gone through the popcorn before the trailers were over.  Every time I've seen it since then I've thought, "That house cannot just be REAL.  I mean, surely they shot at a set and not just a house, right?" Well.  I tell you what, if it was a set, it was explicitly  molded after this house.

Yes, the Home Alone house is real.  And you can go there  if you rent it for an AirB&B. Turns out this is something that's coming up today.  Check out the booking here. It's in a town in Illinois, and the owners are Really leaning into this concept.  They're posing as Kevin's older brother Buzz, and offering up the house for a night to stay.

Many Christmases ago, the McCallisters went to Paris – well, most of us.  Though we’re older and wiser now (I’ve even got my own security firm), we’re never too old for holiday hijinks. So while we’re away on vacation (all of us, this time), I’m inviting one crew of mischief makers to let their inner eight-year-olds run free in my childhood home on Dec. 12. Booking for this one-night stay opens Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. C.T.*

And yes, they've gone full Christmas, and it looks darn festive.  Must have taken so much time to get a few little details in here and there to remind you of the movie.  Anyway, let's look at what they've done!

Home Alone?

And the best bit? They're going to donate the proceeds to a local children's hospital.  So all the fun and for a good cause!

Would you want to stay at the Home Alone house?  Or are you more of a Wet Bandit?

Alonely yours,

Behka
