There is a show on the Animal Planet called Treehouse Masters.  It stars Pete Nelson (The Treehouse Man) and he describes himself as a "tree whisperer".  He is a world-renowned treehouse designer and builder and if I ever win the lottery, I hope to buy a home that has enough trees to hire this guy to build a treehouse for me.  These places are just beautiful and often are nicer than many peoples houses.  If you have ever seen the show, then you know what I am talking about.

Well if you have ever wanted to stay in one of them, there are some options for you in our state, and they are available to rent through Airbnb.com if you are planning a vacation or just need a few days to getaway.  The first one is The Cottage.

The Cottage in Hermann Missouri offers three tree houses for overnight lodging. We also have a cabin with a tree top deck and hot tub. This place has options for weddings, reunions and other celebrations.  Looks cool. Another view is below.

Another option is the Enchanted Treehouse in Grubville Missouri.  There is a 70 acre pine forest in Jefferson County.  This is available year round.  The first floor features a kitchen, living room, dining area, and bathroom; the loft holds a queen bed, four twin beds, two hammocks, and a bench for hanging out and reflecting.  You can see it below and click HERE for more photos.

There is another option in Bunker Missouri, if treehouses are your thing. This one is called Almost Heaven.  Up to 4 guests.  The setting is a nature lover’s paradise, located just a short drive from Current River State Park and Echo Bluff State Park. (Alley Spring and Rocky Falls are a bit farther.) After spending the day exploring the outdoors, guests cross the swinging bridge to the deck, where they can listen to the sounds of a nearby stream and enjoy the wildlife.  Click HERE for this listing.  And see it below.

The final location is Spring Lake Ranch in Potosi Missouri.  Click HERE for details on this one.  3 available rentals on this 700 acre horse and cattle ranch.  The treehouses—High Hope, Spring Lake Chateau, and Dancing Under Red Skies—were built from locally sourced wood and recycled materials. By day, guests explore nearby trails, ride horses, and swim in a 60-acre private lake on the property. At night, the private hot tub in each unit is the ideal place to wind down. Pictures below.

Depending on your budget, each one of these offer a little something different.  If you were looking for possible vacation options, these might be right up your alley.  They may be worth the trip.
