Warrensburg Holding Meet and Greet for Fire Chief Candidates

Last week Warrensburg announced five candidates for the position of Warrensburg Fire Chief. The candidates are:

• John Bailot, Current Fire Chief of Worthington, Ohio
• Gary Birch, Current Fire Chief of Leavenworth, KS
• Kenneth Jennings, Captain on the Warrensburg, MO Fire Department
• Doyle Oxley, Interim Fire Chief of Warrensburg, MO
• Robert Shaw, Retired Fire Chief of Du Quoin, IL

Each candidate will be interviewing with the city on Wednesday. They will also have an opportunity to interact with residents at a meet and greet later in the day. The meet and greet will be held Wednesday, August 14, from 4:30PM - 6:00PM CDT at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 East Gay, in Rooms A and B. All residents are welcome to attend the event.

While Captain Jennings and Active Fire Chief Oxley are quite familiar with our town, this is a great opportunity for the other candidates to get to know our town and it's people a little bit. It's also an opportunity for residents to learn a little about who may be leading our fire department.
