Johnson County, Missouri Sheriff Deputies responded to a rural Warrensburg address in the 100 block of SW 250 Road in response to gunshots being heard. Upon arrival, Deputies found a victim who had been shot to death and a second victim with non-life-threatening injuries.

The homicide victim has been identified as Clifford Heffele of Warrensburg, who died from multiple gunshot wounds. The second victim, who wasn't identified, was suffering from a single gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. This is according to a media release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.

During the investigation 28-year-old, Brandon L. Nodine of Warrensburg was arrested and formally charged with Murder Second Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Burglary First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle First Degree. Nodine is being held without bond.

A 17-year-old juvenile was also taken into custody for Murder Free Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Burglary First Degree, Assault First Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The 17-year-old remains in Juvenile Custody. This is according to the Johnson County, Missouri Sheriff's Office.
