Warrensburg Man Injured in JoCo Rollover

A Warrensburg man was injured in a rollover wreck that occurred Saturday evening in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2021 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by 49-year-old Marion Roper of Warrensburg, was on Highway 23 at SE 275 Road (southwest corner of WAFB)  at 7:45 p.m., when the truck ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a road sign and overturned. Roper suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD.

The Dodge was totaled.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the three Troopers on scene.

Roper was later arrested by the Patrol at 7:56 p.m., and charged with driving while intoxicated, and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident. Roper was taken to Johnson County Detention Center where he was booked and released.
