Warrensburg Parks & Rec Offering CPR & First Aid Course

Want to learn how to save a life? Warrensburg Parks and Recreation along with the Red Cross want to do just that.

They're offering a class that will teach adult and pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED use. Here's the Warrnesburg Park District's description of the course:

"The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years."

The reality is learning basic first aid for emergencies, performing CPR, and learning the basics of how AED's work isn't very difficult. It's just good to know so, like a boy scout, you're prepared should you ever need to use it.

Cost is $70 and if you register before June 29, you'll get a $10 discount. Four people need to sign up for this class to take place. You can register here.
