Dr. Andy Kohl, Superintendent of Schools in Warrensburg will retire after wrapping up the 2022-2023 school year.

In an announcement on Facebook, the Warrensburg R-VI School District announced the Board of Education had accepted the retirement of Dr. Kohl which will be effective June 30, 2023.

In the Facebook post, Kohl is quoted as saying, “I have had the honor to serve alongside several brilliant colleagues in my 35 years, the last 15 years here in Warrensburg. I want all the administrators, teachers, and staff to know that I appreciate their service to our students, staff, parents/guardians, and community. I would also like to thank our current and past school board members for their leadership, support, and guidance over the years."

He went on to thank his family for their encouragement and sacrifices throughout his career in education, and those who supported him during his time in Warrensburg, and said it has been an honor to lead the school district.

Dr. Kohl served as Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Warrensburg from 2008-2019, before serving as Superintendent since 2019.
