A Warsaw man was injured in a one-car crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2008 Chevy Impala, driven by 30-year-old Jayson M. Henson of Warsaw, was on Highway 7, just south of Edwards Avenue around 1:45 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, crossed back over and traveled off the left side, and struck multiple trees.

Henson suffered serious injuries and was Life Flighted to Cox Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Chevy had extensive damage, and was towed from the scene.

The Patrol arrested 30-year-old Jayson M. Henson of Warsaw at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday in Benton County. He was suspected of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and no insurance. Henson was taken to the Benton County Jail, where he was booked and released.
