Warsaw Man Injured in Benton County Rollover

A Warsaw man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 1997 Dodge van, driven by 37-year-old John E. Gumm of Warsaw, was on Lost Valley Road, east of Hatchery Road at 4 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, up an embankment and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Gumm, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered moderate injuries, and was flown by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center for treatment.

The Dodge had moderate damage.

Benton County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
