Warsaw Teen Injured in Rear-End Collision

A Warsaw teenager was injured in a rear-end collision that occurred Monday afternoon in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2020 Toyota Sequoia, driven by 18-year-old Audrey A. Ferrell of Topeka Kansas, was on Missouri 7 at Cold Springs Avenue at 3:50 p.m., when she slowed for traffic congestion and was struck from the rear by a southbound 2002 Lincoln LS, driven by a 16-year-old female from Warsaw.

The driver of the Lincoln suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance for treatment.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles had moderate damage, and were towed from the scene.

Benton County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
