Water Main Work Forces Closure of 3rd & Stewart Intersection Today

On Monday, March 22, beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m., the intersection of West Third Street and South Stewart Avenue will be closed  while the City of Sedalia’s contractor installs a new water main in the area.

Travelers in the area will need to plan for alternate routes during this period as the intersection of West Third St. and South Stewart Ave. will be closed to all traffic.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the road closure may cause as they work to improve the water utility service in the area.

The work is weather and equipment dependent and the re-opening date may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
