Water Work Noted by City of Sedalia

City of Sedalia contractors continue working to make improvements to the City’s water distribution system.

From Tuesday, June 1, through Tuesday, June 8, South Grand Avenue between West 16th and West 13th, traffic will be restricted to a single lane as water valves are replaced and service lines are tied in to the new water main in the area.

The lane restriction will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Metal plates will be installed to allow both lanes of traffic to be open after 5 p.m. each day.

Travelers in this area are encouraged to plan for use of alternate routes during this period to avoid delays.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the lane restriction may cause as they work to improve the water utility services in this area.

The work is weather and equipment dependent and the dates the lane restriction occurs may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
