We Are A Cat Family, Although With Some Reluctance

Husbando and I have been married for a little over four years. We were together for several years before that. About a year or so in, he decided to move from Columbia up here to Sedalia. He moved in, and warned me: "Look, I know you've got your cat. I'm just not a cat guy. Don't expect me to play with it. Don't expect me to like it. It's definitely not getting its hair all over me. I will never be a cat person, I just don't like them."  At the time, we only had Kitten, and he nicknamed her Stir Fry in contempt.  He's still not a cat guy, after all these years.

See, here is definitely NOT cuddling with two cats on our old couch.

And as you can see here, he is clearly not letting the cat lick his bowl.

He's definitely not giving a cat scritches.

That is not a cuddle session on the couch, clearly.

And here is again, not cuddling with two cats.

I mean, I should have known. He doesn't get along with the animals. He's just not a cat guy. He hasn't been won over by their adorable antics and loving natures at all.  Every day it's an eternal struggle, trying to find peace in this house.  It just seems like a never ending war, covered in cat hair.  Lots and lots of cat hair. Seriously, I find cat hair in the TV remote even sometimes.  I don't know how they do that, but hey.

The point here is that Husbando is not now, nor has he ever been a cat guy, and his current living situation is clearly a living hell. I know he hates it when his cat comes in the bedroom to nap with him when he's sick, and I know he hates it when my cat talks to him when she's playing.  That's why he keeps answering her, because she is the bane of his existence.
