Sedalia Parks & Recreation has set an opening date for the Heckart Community Center. That day will be Friday, March 18, 2022. They also set membership and daily fees for the facility. Here's how much it will cost to use the facility, and how these memberships compare to the Warrensburg Community Center.

The Heckart Community Center is offering four types of memberships: Youth (18 and under), Senior (60+), Adult (19+) and Family (Max.5 people). People will be able to pay monthly or annually and there will also be a daily fee.

Daily fees will be $5.00 for kids and seniors. $7.00 for adults and $25 per family for up to five people. Monthly fees will be $20.00 for kids and seniors. $25.00 for adults. And $55.00 for a family of up to five people. If you want to get an annual membership that cost is $200 for kids and seniors. $250.00 for adults and $550 for a family of up to five people.

Membership includes access to the pool, fitness equipment, open gym, and additional programs, classes, and fitness classes. The walking track will be free for all with no membership required.

Warrensburg's Community Center pricing is very similar to what Sedalia Parks & Recreation will charge at the Heckart Community Center. The daily and monthly costs for kids (4-17) and adults 50 and over, which are $5.00 a day and $20.00 a month. Are the same as the Heckart Community Center. The daily fee and monthly membership for adults at the Warrensburg Community Center are the same as well. $7.00 a day or $25 a month.

The annual cost for a membership at the Warrensburg Community Center is a little more expensive than the Heckart Community Center pricing. Annual memberships at the Warrensburg Community Center will cost kids and adults 50 and over $40 dollars more than the Heckart Community Center. And most adults $50 more per year. Adults 50 through 60 years old end up paying $10.00 less in Warrensburg because of differences in the pricing structure. Warrensburg also offers a 10-punch pass program that the Heckart Center isn't offering.

Membership at the Warrensburg Community Center offers access to their fitness center, indoor track, gymnasium, indoor aquatic center, and group exercise classes. All guests have free access to the indoor track and gym.

Bottom line, the prices set out by Sedalia Parks & Recreation for the Heckart Community Center are very similar to Warrensburg, and perhaps a little bit budget-friendly to families with a couple of kids. Regardless of which town you live in, there are plenty of options to get a community center membership and not have it cost you an arm and a leg.
