Yep, you probably saw it, too.

But just in case you haven't, a truck is parked in front of the old West Hardee's location, and it has a huge banner letting us know that El Rodeo is coming soon. I didn't go in - they sounded like they were drilling, probably very busy, and most likely not safe to prying, nosy eyes yet.

The sign just says they're "coming soon", and it doesn't say anything about a date. So I looked online to see if I could find anything. Well, there are a TON of places called El Rodeo all over the country. It's a popular name! There is, however, one also in Bolivar Missouri, so they may or may not be related. Their Facebook page says nothing. I mean, about a second location, that is.

Well, I know what some of you are going to say, and I get it, believe me. "Another Mexican restaurant? Don't we have a ton of those already?" Yeah, we do. But I bet you each and every one of those restaurants has something unique and special about it, something that you come back for or get every time you go. El Tapatio has some great burritos. El Espolon has some killer margaritas. Taqueria Santa Cruz has some amazing nachos. Tacos Del Charro - that green hot sauce?! And don't get me started on Taqueria Morelos and their tamales.

The truth of it is, they could be amazing. El Rodeo could be your new favorite spot. Or, it could be terrible. The proof will be in the pudding, really. If they've got good food, service, and prices, they'll stick around. If they get hit with bad luck or if they drop the ball, well, they won't.

And come on, Mexican is a varied and really diverse category of food. Don't like burritos? Have a taquito! Don't like chicken? Have some tongue! Don't want a quesadilla? Why not have Huevos Rancheros? They've got drinks, they've got snacks, they've got fill your gut mains, and they have super tasty desserts. It's really something.

What I guess I'm saying is, sure, we have a few Mexican restaurants. But... who in their right mind would say "No Thank You, I Would Not Like a Delicious Taco Today." So I don't know about you, but I'm willing to give it a chance.  Because I will not turn down a delicious taco.

I like 'em spicy. Just sayin'.

Restaurantily yours,
Behka

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
