The city council in Hannibal, Missouri recently voted to name "Huck Finn Blues" by Brad Paisley as the official song of the city. If Sedalia had an "official song," what would it be?

Sedalia has been the home to some pretty important figures in the history of music. In fact, nearly every Jeopardy! question ever asked about Sedalia had to do with Scott Joplin. So maybe the city's official song should be one of his ragtime classics.

Or maybe we could choose something from Leroy Van Dyke. A portion of the Highway 50 was named after him in 2016. Or maybe it could be something else. What do you think? What would be your choice for an official song for Sedalia?

In case you're wondering, Brad Paisley recorded "Huck Finn Blues" as part of the Mark Twain: Words and Music album that was released in 2011 to benefit Hannibal's Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum. Jimmy Buffett, Clint Eastwood, Rhonda Vincent, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie and Ricky Scaggs also contributed to the album. The double-CD is still available through the museum's website.
