West-Central Independent Living Solutions (WILS) is searching for an individual with a disability in Benton, Henry, Lafayette, Johnson, Pettis, or Saline county interested in attending the AgrAbility National Training Workshop in Madison, Wisconsin in March 2020.

WILS says the offer is extended to anyone eligible to participate. Applications are due no later than December 20, 2019 to the National AbriAbility Training Workshop.

WILS mission is described as to empower people with disabilities to achieve and maintain their independence by providing them with programs, resources, and opportunities. 

The AgrAbility National Training Workshop (NTW) is an educational event addressing issues related to disability in agriculture. The mission of the NTW is to empower professionals and consumers to fulfill AgrAbility's main priority areas of education, networking, assistance, and marketing.

Conference features include pre-conference sessions and tours on specialized topics, breakout sessions, and tours to local agriculture enterprises.  A travel stipend is available.

Actual stipend amounts will be determined by the number of applications received and the amount of sponsorship funds available to the National AgrAbility Project. Full or partial stipends may be awarded. Priority will be given to first-time applicants.

It was noted that if approved, registration and hotel accommodations (excluding incidentals) will be paid directly by the National AgrAbility Project. Airfare (if required) and mileage will be reimbursed to participants after the NTW.
