The Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) Foundation is excited to announce that they have reached a milestone of giving out over 100 Employee Relief Funds (ERF) to WMMC employees.

Employee Relief Funds are $250 – $1,000 grants given to WMMC employees during a time of need. The money that is raised for these funds is coordinated through the C.A.R.E.givers Committee, which is the employee-giving branch of the WMMC Foundation. This group of employee volunteers oversees the C.A.R.E.givers Club, which all WMMC employees are eligible to be a part of for as little $1/pay period or $25/year.

Since 2016, over $190,000 has been raised by the C.A.R.E.givers Club and over $60,000 has been distributed in the form of ERF’s.

“I just want to take a moment to share how incredibly grateful I am to have such an amazing group of employees here that I have the honor of working with at WMMC. Our employees are compassionate, giving, and supportive,” said Jake Corson, Chair of the C.A.R.E.givers Committee. “We have accomplished so much over the past 5 years, from the Employee Relief Funds given out to the projects that support our facility, and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it."
