Wood & Huston Bank of Sedalia has broken ground and started construction on a brand new modern banking center to serve the city.

“We’re looking forward to building the new bank and offering a chance for others to join us,” said Wood & Huston Bank Sedalia/Pettis County Market President Matt Boatright in a press release.

Building a new facility was always the plan for the bank which opened a temporary Sedalia location last year across from Walmart and Applebee's on Highway 50.

Boatright used the new bank as an example of how Wood & Huston's technology and facilities meet their customers' needs:

Today’s customers, more than ever, want to bank their way; how, when, and where they want to bank. That’s why Wood & Huston Bank is consistently investing in and upgrading digital technology along with facilities to meet customers’ evolving needs. The new, permanent banking center in Sedalia is a great example of how Wood & Huston Bank is staying focused on local personal service while providing the best technology and products to our customers.

Wood & Huston Bank was started in the town of Marshall in 1874 and over the years have expanded into other Missouri communities like Sedalia, Higginsville, Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Springfield and West Plains.
