Circuit Court Cases Resolved Through December 19

Below is a sampling of cases that were resolved in the Circuit Court of Pettis County,
Sedalia, Missouri from October 2023 through Dec. 19, 2023.

Nathan Riga: age 32, Sedalia, MO was sentenced 12 and 10 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on two separate matters (1 count Murder in the Second Degree and 1 count Tampering With Physical Evidence in a Felony).

Amanda Meyer: age 27, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 10, 5 and 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on three separate matters (1 count Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and 1 count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Ms. Meyer was sentenced to consecutive 10 and 5 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Nathan McCormack: age 33, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Stealing.

Jewel C. Rowland, age 42, Independence, MO was sentenced to 20 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Trafficking in the Second Degree.

Johnny Pardee: age 42, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 12 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Statutory Sodomy.

Elijah Nash: age 27, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 8, 8, 5, 5, and 5 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on five separate matters ( 1 count Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Cocaine, 1 count Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Ecstasy, 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, and 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Concealable Firearm).

Ciara LA Harvey: age 26, Green Ridge, Mo was sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Ronald Paxton: age 50, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Keith Lybarger: age 37, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to two 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree and Property Damage in the First Degree.

Raime Bain: age 33, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after her probation was revoked.

Heath D. Lestage: age 21, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to two 3 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Assault in the Third Degree and Resisting Arrest.

Laura Chalfant: age 47, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after her probation was revoked.

Cosa Hoskins: age 34, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to five 3 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on five separate matters (1 count Stalking, 1 count Harassment, 1 count Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 1 count Forgery and 1 count Receiving Stolen Property).

James D. Baker: age: 49, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to four 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on four separate matters (1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and 3 counts of Burglary).

Sandra Fitzwater: age 68, Lincoln, MO was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after her probation was revoked.

Jennie L. Schweremer: age 41, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 2 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Cora Lee Hathaway: age 28, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 2 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Clayton Alcorn: age 60, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after his probation was revoked.

Dana C. Jones: age 48, Blue Springs, MO was sentenced to 4 and 2 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Resisting Arrest and Assault in the Second Degree.

Crystal Summers: age 43, Marshall, MO was sentenced to 7, 7, 5, 5 and 2 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Correction for (1 count Receiving Stolen Property, 1 count Stealing, 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, 1 count Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 1 count Resisting Arrest).

Jessica Collins-Willibrand: age 36, Sedalia, MO was sentenced 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 4, 4 and 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on eight separate matters ( 1 count Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 1 count Property Damage, 3 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, 1 count Tampering with Physical Evidence and 2

Ezra D. Rhodes: age 25, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 7 and 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Arson in the First Degree and Arson in the Second Degree.

Philip J. Larbi: age 35, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after his probation was revoked.

Samantha Hopkins: age 26, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 3 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Arson in the Second Degree.

Nickie E. Smith: age 38, Sedalia, Mo was sentenced to two 2 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Resisting Arrest and Property Damage in the First Degree.

Bryan M. Stevenson: age 43, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to two 10 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Kendal Brown: age 32, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree.

Tammy Despain: age 52, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Ms. Despain was sentenced to an additional 15 year sentence in the Missouri Department of Corrections after her probation was revoked.

Phylicia K. Young: age 30, Stover, MO was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Melissa S. Clark: age 41, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 15, 10 and 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on three separate matters (2 counts Trafficking in the Second Degree-Methamphetamine and 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Alprazolam).

David Rodriguez: age 44, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Driving While Intoxicated.

Danielle M. Wilson: age 42, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Matthew R. Johnson: age 30, Warsaw, MO was sentenced to 10, 7, 5, 5 and 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on five separate matters (1 count Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, 1 count Tampering in the First Degree, 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Psilocybin, 1 count Unlawful Possession of a Concealable Firearm and 1 count Resisting Arrest).

Richard Danforth Bartlett: age 23, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to two 4 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections on two separate matters (1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and 1 count Unlawful Possession of a Firearm). Mr. Bartlett was sentenced to an additional 4 year sentence after his probation.

Brandon D. Vanwinkle: age 45, Green Ridge, MO was sentenced to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine. Mr. Vanwinkle was sentenced to an additional 4-year sentence after his probation was revoked.
