Starting tonight, Monday, June 13 contractors for the Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane of westbound Interstate 70 at the Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport.

The lane closures will be in place from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM CDT each night through Friday, June 17 for barrier installation.

The barriers will replace the guard cable making the roadway safer for motorists and workers in that area as work progresses on the bridge. Crews are expected to spend more time working along the median and the roadway in the coming weeks which will also require nightly lane closures.

The Rocheport Bridge Project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Details on further lane closures are available on the MoDOT traveler information map, message boards on the roadway, news releases, and on social media.
