This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports.


 

Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Murphy USA, 3203 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a property damage report. The reporting party was passing through the parking lot, saw the damage, and then called the Police. Officers arrived and the reporting party was gone. Officers then documented the damage to the property. No contact was made with management at the time. Further information is pending per contact with the management team. A suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a report of shoplifting. Sheridan Marie Anderson, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Anderson was released with a municipal summons.


 

Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 3rd Street and South Barrett Avenue in regards to a hit and run vehicle accident. Officers talked with witnesses and gathered information for a report. A suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a report of shoplifting. Crystle Lee Dee, 39, of Sedalia, Lillan Celest Bastion, 19, of Blue Springs, and Emma Caroline Sosa, 18, of Windsor, were all arrested on charges of Shoplifting. All three were identified, issued a summons, and released on the scene.

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of North Randolph Avenue for a possible domestic disturbance in progress. The suspect had reportedly left the scene on foot, but was quickly located by Officers. The victim had apparent injuries. Anjelica Sue Lawson, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Lawson was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a hold, pending charges.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a fight taking place in the parking lot Wednesday evening.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Julia O. Allstot, 30, of Smithton, was given a court summons for Stealing. Officers gathered information to create a report.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in regards to a report of found property. Officers spoke with Haley Wheeler, collected the property, and gathered information to create a report.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department Thursday morning to take a report of missing property. Traci Argenbright reported accidentally leaving her license plates on a vehicle she recently sold.


 

Officers made contact with a subject in the area of West 14th Street and South Beacon Avenue on Thursday afternoon who had a warrant for his arrest. The citation was issued in November 2023 after an incident involving Dugan Glass Installations, 2810 West Main Street. A Failure to Appear warrant was issued in March of 2024, and the warrant was served shortly after. However, after posting bail, the suspect Failed to Appear again in April 2024. James David Kohrs, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested for his FTA warrant on original charges of Trespassing. Kohrs was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash only bond of $100.00.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in regards to a report of shoplifting in progress. Officers arrived on scene, gathered the information and evidence from Wal Mart personnel, and a report was completed.
