Early Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of East 16th Street in regards to a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and gathered necessary information to label the vehicle as stolen and write a report.


 

Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the Casey's store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard for a subject check. When Officers made contact with the subject, they discovered her to be highly intoxicated. Sarita Linda Leon, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested for safekeeping. Leon was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a fit for confinement check, and then to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Sedalia Square, 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard Wednesday morning in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted a female on scene. She stated she got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend, which turned physical. The male suspect left the scene and was located later in the night. The primary physical aggressor could not be determined. Officers completed a 12-hour log.


 

Officers were dispatched to the area of West 7th Street and South Moniteau Avenue last Friday morning for a subject check. When Officers arrived, they observed a vehicle playing loud music, with two subjects standing around it. Officers contacted one subject, who was uncooperative and reluctant to identify himself. One subject was arrested for public consumption, and another was discovered to have Failure to Appear warrants for his arrest. Malachi Quamayne Eugene Sims, 21, of Warrensburg, was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was issued a UTT for Public Consumption of Alcohol and released. James A. Lowe, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested on his FTA warrants on original charges of: felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Possession of a Weapon with a felony Controlled Substance), felony Assault in the 1st Degree, felony Armed Criminal Action, felony Assault in the 2nd Degree, and another count of felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Shooting from a Motor Vehicle at a Person, Motor Vehicle, or Building, Causing Injury or Death). Lowe was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrants, pending a cash or surety bond totaling $50,000.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the 100 block of West Main Street in reference to a suicidal subject. Officers made contact with the subject, and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. Roy Lee Neighbors, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Neighbors was placed on a 12-hour Safekeeping hold.


 

Tuesday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the Break Time store, 808 East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The employee stated a woman came into the store, refused to pay for a cup of ice, and then left with the cup.
