Two California Residents Killed in Moniteau County Rollover

Two California residents were killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Tuesday morning in Moniteau County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 was on US 50, six-tenths of a mile west of Countryside Road just after midnight, when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Silverado returned to the roadway and then off the right side. The driver again overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll over and eject both occupants, neither of whom were wearing seat belts.

Moniteau County Coroner Marty Ramsdell pronounced 23-year-old Christopher W. Seeger of California dead on the scene at 12:50 a.m. University Hospital Dr. Jeffrey Coughenour pronounced 21-year-old Dakota D. Pace of California dead at the scene at 1:01 a.m. The bodies were taken to Windmill Ridge Funeral Home in California.

The Chevy was totaled.

Moniteau County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
