Early Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West 3rd Street in regards to a report of property damage. Officers spoke with Aryan Blaylock and gathered information to make a report.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in regards to a shoplifting incident. Officers arrived and spoke with the suspects. Christina Marie Forsee, 36, and Christopher Albert Vieth, 39, both of Sedalia, were both arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Both Forsee and Vieth were issued a citation and released on scene.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a subject driving under the influence of an intoxicant. Evidence of intoxication was observed. Juan Jose Segura Rivas, 34, of Kansas City, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Segura Rivas was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, and later released with a summons.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop Sunday evening on a vehicle in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue because it disobeyed a stop sign. After a computer check with Dispatch, it was discovered the driver required an ignition interlock device. The device was not connected to the vehicle. Charges are being requested for Failing to Comply with a Required Interlock Device*.


 

Sunday evening, Officers stopped a motor vehicle in the area of East 3rd Street and South Engineer Avenue for a license violation. During the stop, items associated with illegal drug activity were observed in plain sight inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of additional items related to illegal drug activity. Bennett Tyler Neely, 25, Homeless, was arrested on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive for a potential cardiac event in progress early Monday morning. Officers arrived on scene and began life saving measures. The patient was transported to the BRHC by PCAD.


 

The Sedalia Police DWI Unit were in the area of East 13th Street and South Ingram Avenue Saturday evening, conducting traffic enforcement due to public concern of stop sign violations in the area. A southbound truck disobeyed the stop sign, and failed to signal as it turned from southbound Ingram onto westbound 13th Street. The driver was stopped, and found to be under the influence of drugs. Brandon Michael Moore, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Moore was transported to the Pettis County Jail, then released to a sober driver.

Sunday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle near South Warren Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard because it was failing to maintain its lane. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Nathaniel Tyler Floyd Bryant, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Bryant was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in and then released.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue Sunday morning. Juan Tojin Us, 20, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle Without a License, and Minor in Possession of Intoxicants. Us was transported to the SPD to be processed and released with a court date.


 

Officers stopped a vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and Sunset Drive Saturday night for an equipment violation. The driver was found to be intoxicated by drugs. Jason Martin Eickhoff, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Eickhoff was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sunday morning, Officers responded to the 1200 block of East 11th Street for a civil standby** between two parties. While on scene, one of the parties became hostile toward the other party and Officers on scene. The suspect wouldn’t allow the other party to retrieve her belongings from the shared residence. The suspect was ordered several times to allow the victim to retrieve her belongings, but he continued yelling and causing a disturbance. Vincent Lee Ballenger, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested for Stealing and Peace Disturbance. Ballenger was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Early Saturday morning, a truck was stopped in the area of South Summit Avenue and East 9th Street for failing to maintain its lane. The driver was found to be intoxicated. Daniel Allen Pritchard, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Pritchard was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released to a sober driver.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Dollar General store, 713 East Broadway Boulevard for a report of shoplifting Sunday afternoon. Officers arrived on scene, gathered information from the store’s management, identified a possible suspect, and a report was completed.


 

Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 5th Street Saturday night to take a report of harassment from Heaven R. Aker. Aker did not request charges. A general information report was collected.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway boulevard, in regards to a theft report. Officers arrested two subjects involved. Addie M. Wolfe, 21, of Sedalia, and Jazmine C. Hernandez, 18, of Marshall, were both arrested for charges of Shoplifting.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft Saturday afternoon***. Two subjects had been directed to the asset protection room in the store after being observed stealing items from the store. After an investigation, Ezra Scott Cowan, 25, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal summons for Stealing. The total value of the items stolen was estimated approximately $79.96. Both subjects were released from the scene.


 

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Woods Grocery store, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, for a report of pills found folded into a dollar bill. Officers arrived on scene, collected evidence and information from witnesses, and a report was completed.


 

Officers were dispatched to the area of East Pettis Street and North Mill Street Sunday afternoon for a report of a male subject who had been assaulted. Officers arrived on scene and gathered information from the victim (who was not named in the report), who was transported to the BRHC for treatment of injuries.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Cooper Street in regards to a property damage report. Information on the damage was taken from Lourdes Lopez Valadez, and information was gathered to create a report. There are no known suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street on Saturday afternoon in regards to a report of property damage. A patient had damaged some drywall in the building earlier in the day. The estimated value of the damage was set at $300. The case was referred to the Pettis County Prosecutor for charges. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Saturday morning, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft. The suspect was observed stealing approximately $101.63 worth of items from the store. The suspect was apprehended by asset protection with the business. Officers arrived on scene to investigate. Bonnie Suzanne Kemp, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for Stealing. Kemp was ultimately released with a summons.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 600 block of West 20th Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and observed a female standing up on the porch, and observed a male to be lying in a ditch at the residence. He had blood on his hand and several scratch marks on his face and neck. Officers investigated the situation and observed injuries to a neighbor, including a knot on her left temple and scratch marks on her arms. The male stated he had brought the children over to the neighbor’s residence because he and the suspect were arguing, and he was concerned about their safety due to the suspect being high on methamphetamine. The suspect then came to the duplex, broke down the door, attempted to take the children. The neighbor, who had blood coming from the left side of her mouth where she had been hit, stated the suspect kicked her door in, came in and assaulted her. She stated she was hit several times and the suspect was trying to take one of the children, while the neighbor was holding her. The baby was continuously crying, and had a knot on her left temple, and red scratch marks on her arms. The other child was located in a vehicle outside, and he was brought inside the residence. The other child had a bump on his head and scratches on his legs from where the suspect was trying to remove him from the residence. During the investigation, Officers again observed the baby crying constantly until the boy calmed her down and fell asleep with her on the bed. Officers noticed they believed the children were physically exhausted from being traumatized due to the incident. Officers saw damage to the latch that was used to secure the door, as it had been pulled partially out of the wall. Victoria C. Ross, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges**** of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree, and two counts of Aggravated Assault of a Child/Child Abuse. Ross was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a $10,000 cash or surety bond.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Dal Whi Mo Court for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the reporting party and discovered the suspect was removing her property from the residence. The victims got into an argument with the suspect, with a broken television and a broken laptop being the result. The suspect stated there was no physical altercation, but merely a verbal one. The report notes the suspect was intoxicated. One victim stated the suspect had knocked the television out of his hands and then thrown it out of the residence, off the concrete steps. The victims then said the suspect came down the steps of the residence, and tried shoving a second victim down the stairs. Officers spoke to another witness at a nearby residence, who had said she arrived home and heard the arguing. The witness’s juvenile son recorded a video of some of the incident. In the video, it shows the suspect walking up to one of the victims and punching him in the face. The juvenile said he saw the suspect punch the victim again, but he did not record it, and he also witnessed the suspect punch another witness. Melissa R. Keele, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree, and Property Damage in the 23nd Degree. Keele was booked in at the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond $5,000.


 

Late Friday night, Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 9th Street for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Officers spoke to those involved, and were able to determine a physical altercation had occurred. A primary physical aggressor was determined and placed under arrest. Kimberly Sue Busing, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Probation and Parole Office on Friday afternoon, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a subject with a warrant for his arrest. Contact was made with the subject, and it was confirmed he had two warrants for his arrest out of Saline County. Russel W. Kelso Jr., 52, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrants on charges of Violation of an Order of Protection (two counts) from March 2024 and felony Driving While Intoxicated. The DWI charge was initially field in August of 2023, with a conviction order issued in September of 2023, and probation ordered in December of that same year. The warrant was issued in January of 2024. Bond was set at $15,000 cash only on the DWI charge and $2,500 cash only was set on the Protection Order charge.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1400 block of East 7th Street for a report of a crash involving several vehicles. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the suspect, identified as the driver of the striking vehicle. Officers observed the driver was having a hard time keeping her balance and slurring her words. Officers attempted to perform field sobriety tests, but the suspect refused, saying things like “Just take me to jail.” Officers then performed a PBT test on the driver, and the result showed her BAC to be 0.355%. Officers attempted to interview the driver further, but could not because she kept falling asleep. Officers noted in the probable cause statement the suspect stated she was drunk multiple times. Sarita Linda Leon, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested on a felony charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Chronic Offender) and felony Driving While Revoked. Leon was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a cash or surety bond of $50,000.


 

Thursday night, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 10th Street in reference to a hit and run accident. Jon J. Burkey stated a vehicle had struck his parked vehicle and left the scene without providing any contact information. At this time, the investigation is ongoing.


 

Thursday night, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft. Officers made contact with the subject and the employees. Carol J. Tieman, 67, of Alma, was issued a citation for Shoplifting. Tieman was trespassed from the store and released with a citation and a court date.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Best Western motel in reference to a subject trespassing early Thursday morning. On Officers’ arrival, the suspect was unable to be located. Officers determined there was enough evidence to submit charges to the prosecutor’s office.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store Thursday night for a report of shoplifting. While responding, the shoplifter fled in a vehicle. Officers searched the area in an attempt to locate the suspect. The subject is at large at this time.


 

Last Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, on a report of a shoplifter. The subject concealed items and attempted to leave without payment. Valentyna Sokolov, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Stealing. Sokolov was issued a citation and released on scene.


 

Last Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a theft report. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with two subjects who were sitting in the asset protection office. The subjects were caught taking and concealing items, as well as “skip scanning” items”. One of the subjects was placed under arrest. Dana L. Bark, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Stealing. The report notes Officers will be submitting charges against the second suspect, who was not named in the report.
