Wednesday afternoon, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Harrison Avenue. A probable cause search of the vehicle located a partially consumed marijuana blunt. The blunt was seized for destruction. No charges are being requested.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of East 4th Street Wednesday night in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with the caller, who stated her husband slapped her in the face during a verbal argument. Officers made contact with the suspect in the 1400 block of South Osage Avenue. Victor H. Marcos Alonso, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Alonso was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

Wednesday night, Officers did a subject check at the Econolodge parking lot, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard. The subject's information was checked with Dispatch, and it was confirmed he had an active arrest warrant out of Pettis County. Troy Dale Fogarty, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Damage Exceeding $1,000). Fogarty was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrant with no bond.


 

Officers made contact with an individual near the Commerce Building Lofts, 230 South Ohio Avenue, Wednesday night. The subject was found to have a failure to appear warrant for their arrest. Katila Marie Pitts, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated (With Passenger Under the Age of 17 in the Vehicle). Pitts was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on the warrant, which carried a bond of $10,000 cash or surety.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Lamine Avenue for a report of a disturbance. After an on-scene investigation, it was determined that a crime had occurred, and a juvenile referral will be completed.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers observed a subject riding an ATV on East 5th Street near South Montgomery Avenue. The ATV drove north on Montgomery and pulled next to a house on the southwest corner of East 4th Street and South Montgomery. In running the operator's information through the computer, Joint Communications found a Failure to Appear warrant for the operator. Jonathan W. Ayers, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for his FTA warrant on original charges of Speeding (20-25 Mph Over). Ayers was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash-only bond of $194.00.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Drive Wednesday morning. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near North Park Avenue and West Henry Street because it had a rear passenger brake light out. Officers also recognized the driver, who had a revoked driver's license. Contact was made with the driver, and Dispatch confirmed his revoked operator's status. Dakota S. Criner, 31, of Smithton, was released from the scene and was advised to call someone to come and drive the vehicle. Officers are requesting charges against Criner for Driving While Revoked.


 

On the evening of August 11th, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 5th Street and South Engineer Avenue after recognizing the passenger as a wanted person. Rishaud Thomas Staten, 25, Homeless, was arrested on two warrants. One was a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and felony Resisting Arrest, another was a Benton County Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Staten was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the area of the El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant, 3000 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a vehicle collision that occurred in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officers met with both drivers, who only had minor injuries and declined medical treatment. Investigation revealed one of the drivers had a revoked license in the state of Missouri. Alla Valentinovna Mischuk, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.
