Saturday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart parking lot, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a hit and run accident. When Officers arrived, they spoke with the caller, Kelli K. Tate. Tate stated she had parked her car earlier in the day, and when she returned, she found it damaged. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Moniteau Avenue and West 7th Street because the vehicle did not have a license plate displayed. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Crystal Sheresa-Tomansen Burton, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Burton was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Burton was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for DWI, fingerprinted, and released.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to assist with a traffic stop near the area of West 14th Street and South Limit Avenue Wednesday night. The vehicle had been stopped for failing to maintain a lane, and it was also not displaying a registration plate. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Leonardo Rivas, 30, of Anson Texas, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Rivas refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained, and Rivas was  transported to the BRHC for a blood draw. Rivas resisted the blood draw. Once the draw was conducted, Rivas was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold. Charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest are being filed with the prosecutor’s office.

In the early morning hours Sunday, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the area of West 6th Street and South Osage Avenue that failed to maintain the right half of the roadway. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Roselio Gonzalez Diaz, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Gonzalez Diaz was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Gonzalez Dias was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Officers spoke with Donna Reid Wednesday morning on the telephone about a theft. Reid stated her license plate was stolen off her trailer in the 1000 block of Royal Boulevard. The license plate has been entered as stolen.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue in reference to a burglary report. Joshua S. Taller reported that while they were gone, someone broke into their residence and stole various items. At this time, suspects have not been identified.


Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, to address a call about a subject in the building with an active warrant for their arrest. The warrant was confirmed active. Nicholas A. Ray, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Parole Violation. Ray was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held without bond.
